oject: Iznik Chimney
Client: Victoria & Albert Museum

The former Henry Dennis Head Office in Ruabon contained very fine mosaic, geometric floor and wall tiles. Wrexham Maelor Borough Council commissioned Heritage Tile Conservation to salvage the floor and wall tiles prior to the building being demolished. The images illustrate the quality of the material and the skill of the craftsmen who laid the tiles.

In addition to the ceramic material rescued, a plaster Heraldic Coat of Arms was removed from Borras Farmhouse, which was purported to be the home of Judge George Jeffreys (1645 -1689 The Hanging Judge).
