Case Study
Project: Iznik Chimney
Client: Victoria & Albert Museum
We were commissioned to remove, conserve and remount the Iznik ceramic tiled fireplace situated in the corridor adjacent to Gallery 33. The fireplace was to form part of a touring exhibition of Islamic artefacts, so it was essential to design and construct a lightweight, demountable structure to support the exhibit. West Park Tea Rooms, Wolverhampton
Heritage Tile Conservation was commissioned by Wolverhampton City Council to restore the floor and wall tiles of the Tea Room. Both the floor and wall tiles had suffered extensive damage and the counter was repositioned. Remanufactured matching material and salvaged tiles were reinstated.
