We were commissioned to remove, conserve and remount the Iznik ceramic tiled fireplace situated in the corridor adjacent to Gallery 33. The fireplace was to form part of a touring exhibition of Islamic artefacts, so it was essential to design and construct a lightweight, demountable structure to support the exhibit. Rugby High School Art Deco Tile Panel

This tile panel was originally displayed 40 feet high on a brick elevation of the Art College (formerly the High School) at Clifton Road, Rugby and is the work of Harold Stabler of Carters in Poole, Dorset (circa 1930. Heritage Tile Conservation Ltd was commissioned to remove, restore and remount this tile panel, which measures 1964mm x 922mm. It is now on display in the reception area at Rugby Art Gallery Museum & Library.
