Thinking about the new website has caused us all to reflect upon the multitude and variety of material, jobs and also people we have had the pleasure to work with over the years.
Most notably we remember Chris Dellow. It was Chris, alongside Jeremy Southorn, who was a founding partner of the business in 1984.
Chris died following a period of debilitating and painful illness, which he bore with great bravery, supported by his adult sons, Jack and Harry, his partner Annie and her daughter Amy.
Chris and Jeremy trained together and began their careers in conservation at the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, 1978-84.
Their partnership was successful, marrying Chris’ Arts background with Jeremy’s engineering and ceramics experience, and family background. This ensured that work undertaken was carried out with a meticulous, detailed, ethical approach. This established the company reputation for excellence rapidly.
While skills can be replaced, the man cannot. Chris remains sadly missed.
